Town N’ Country, Florida was once owned by D. Wayne Webb.  Webb operated his dairy farm amongst the 500 acres of land that he owned in the area during the 1940's. At this time there where only a handful of residents located here.  A real estate broker from Tampa, Bill Wingfield, sold Webb's land to Lamonte-Shimberg Builders, Inc., a building company owned and operated by three gentlemen named Mandell Shimberg Jr., James H. Shimberg and Charles LaMonte. Town N’ Country began as a community in 1959 with the building of the first 50 homes, and within three short years there were approximately 500 homes in the area. 

According to the 2000 census, Town N’ Country is the home to 72,523 residents.  Real Estate options in this area vary from high-end apartments, single family homes and condominiums.  With its many schools, shopping plazas and parks and the some of Florida's major attractions only minutes away, Town N Country is a great place to raise a family!
